Sir Gallus & the Dragon

These full-page comics are about Sir Gallus, a clumsy knight and The Dragon, a smart and witty monster.

Gallus believes the Dragon to be an evil creature and is bent on his destruction. The Dragon uses Gallus' lack of intelligence and strength against him to ward him off and to pull pranks.

These two are not the only characters within the comics though. There is a whole kingdom full of people who cause their own mayhem, and new ones show up when a joke could use them.

These comics try to be unworldly but still funny and derive inspiration from many comedic things that I've watched growing up.

The initial inspiration was Looney Tunes. While none of my characters are directly inspired by any Looney Tunes character, the type of mischief that happens in the cartoons is what inspired the characters in my comics.

I started the idea of these comics clear back in 2014, but did not continue working on it until 2024, when my friend from Iron Knight Cinema had hired me to draw for his comics, and he told me to do my own comics as well.

Characters

These are the most reoccurring characters in the Sir Gallus & the Dragon Comics.

Sir Gallus

The young clumsy knight who wants nothing more than to be a success but will always find a way to make a mess of things.

The Dragon

All he wants to do is to relax and not be bothered, but he is always pestered by Sir Gallus. He won't admit it, but he enjoys the knight's antics

Sir Edward

SIr Gallus' mentor and teacher. While Edward is a patient person, even he can have his limits of stupidity

Leona

A notorious thief that can't help herself but steal. She has high intelligence, which is constantly overshadowed by her greed for gold and money

Hugh

A bard who is Gallus' friend who usually gets tied up in the chaos that everyone else creates.

Lady Irene

I lady who has been waiting for the perfect suitor. She then meets Sir Gallus, who she falls hopelessly in love with. Trouble is, Gallus is oblivious to her feelings.

Borrdeck

A blacksmith who is happy to help when he can. While he looks like a dwarf, he is actually a human.

Eugene

An alchemist that has questionable credentials. He enjoys creating inventions when he isn't screwing around with potions

Hilda

A witch who used to be evil, but is now trying to be good. However, she is constantly tired at how difficult it is and wants to sleep

Lydia

Also known as "The Lady in the Woods". She is lovable and kind. She likes animals and curing people of ailments using an herbs and love

Ada

The local healer. She enjoys healing people, but not more than sending them a bill for services rendered. She is always using experimental and questionable methods of healing

Glade

A paladin who hates everything that is evil. Though his outlook on evil is peculiar.

Cooper

A knight who is trying to find a theming for his knighthood. He started off with Copper, but that didn't work out, so his plight continues

Captain Gregory

Captain of the guard who hates crime, but is not clever enough to actually solve any
